What Happens During The Consultation?

What areas are they estimating on? Know what your getting when they quote your project. Just doing the front is different than adding lights all over your house.
They should be able to answer any questions about where your equipment will go and if there’s any access needed. Know what your getting into when it comes to your home.
How Are Permanent Lights Installed?
As stated above permanent roofline lights will remain on your home year round. Permalights Utah will install a low profile channel to house the lights and wire. The channel can be trimmed to match your homes exterior.
They are not hung like string lights but run along the roof line of your home. Where they are placed will depend on the look and style of your home.
Can You See The Lights During The Day?
Its designed to have minimal visibility during the day. You will be able to see the lights when looking close but they will blend into your soffit/trim.
Request installation photos of homes similar to yours. This will give you a better idea of what your home will look like after install.
What do I Need to Know Before my Install?
Before your appointment, confirm what access the installation team will need. Depending on the project, you may be asked to:
- Move vehicles away from work areas
- Unlock gates or provide access to agreed-upon spaces
- Move patio furniture or other obstacles
- Keep pets safely away from the work area
- Have your phone and relevant account information available for setup
These are useful planning questions, rather than a checklist every home will require. Your installer can explain what applies to your project.
How Long Does Installation Take?
Most homes can be installed within 1-2 days with PermaLights Utah. There are many factors that can play into this such as size of home/business. Typically we are able to install around 100 linear feet a day.
There may be factors that affect your timeline as well. Access to property, roof line, weather and availability are all things to consider. Please make sure you know what time frame you will have lights installed in before your scheduled date. Especially if you would like them up for a certain holiday.
Learn How to Control Your New Lights
With our system you are able to control your colors, brightness, patterns and scheduling from your phone. After you have had your lights installed take some time to become familiar with your system.
A helpful starting point is to learn how to:
- Turn the lights on and off
- Select an everyday white setting
- Adjust brightness
- Choose a holiday color pattern
- Save a favorite display
- Set and change your schedule

There’s no reason to only use your install during holidays. Begin with a basic white mode and play with brightness from what you see outside.
